As an important component, the gea sealing gasket of a plate heat exchanger is crucial for its service life

Impact: If these sealing gaskets harden and lose their elasticity, it may cause the heat exchanger to not operate properly Rotate, because the gasket not only needs to seal the medium to prevent it from leaking into the external environment, but also to prevent heat exchange.

The mutual mixing between media, therefore, gea sealing gaskets are considered the most important and demanding in plate exchangers Required parts.

The gea sealing gasket is a key component of the plate heat exchanger. The working temperature of a plate heat exchanger is essentially the temperature that the gasket can withstand, and the working pressure of the plate heat exchanger is also constrained by the gasket. According to analysis, the length of the sealing perimeter (m) is 6-8 times the heat exchange area (m2), (for example, for a single plate heat exchanger with an area of 0.5m2, the unfolded length of the sealing gasket is about 4m). The plates are very thin and have poor rigidity, and sealing gaskets can only be made of elastic materials, and they can withstand low temperatures. The gasket should have a proven compression capacity for sealing, and the compression capacity should ensure that the groove does not deform.

The commonly used gasket cross-sectional shape is hexagonal. The commonly used types of gaskets include natural rubber, chloroprene rubber, nitrile rubber, EPDM rubber, silicone rubber, fluorine rubber, asbestos fiber board, etc.

If the gasket of the plate heat exchanger experiences leakage, fracture, aging, etc. during use, it should be replaced in a timely manner. The replacement should be carried out in the following order.

1. Remove the old gasket. Be careful not to scratch the gasket groove during disassembly.

2. Use acetone, butanone, or other ketone solvents to remove residual adhesive from the gasket groove.

3. Clean the gasket groove and gasket with a clean cloth or cotton yarn.

4. Apply the adhesive evenly to the gasket groove.

5. Apply clean new gaskets to the plate.

6. The plates with gaskets should be placed in a flat, cool, and ventilated place and naturally dried for 4 hours before installation
