Product details

JQ·E7018 is a carbon steel welding electrode with Fe powder and low-hydrogen potassium coating, which is designed for vertical down welding work. AC/DC both can be applied.

The welding electrode has excellent welding performance with smooth arc, optimal appearance, extreme low spatter level and effortless slag removal ability. The deposited metal has stable mechanical properties, good plasticity and low temperature impact toughness; also it has low diffusion hydrogen content and good crack resistance.

Composition: JQ·E7018 contains iron (Fe) powder and features a low-hydrogen potassium coating. The addition of iron powder can enhance the mechanical properties of the deposited metal.

Welding Position: This electrode is specifically designed for vertical down welding work. Vertical down welding involves depositing the weld metal in a downward direction, which can be suitable for certain applications and joint configurations.

AC/DC Compatibility: JQ·E7018 can be used with both alternating current (AC) and direct current (DC) power sources. This versatility allows for flexibility in choosing the appropriate power source based on the specific welding setup and requirements.

It's important to note that while JQ·E7018 is designed for vertical down welding and compatible with both AC and DC currents, additional information about its welding performance, spatter level, bead appearance, mechanical properties, and crack resistance may be necessary to fully assess its suitability for different welding projects.

Purpose

Precautions

1. Before welding, the welding electrode should be baked at 350℃ for 1 hour for ready use.

2. Impurities such as rust, oil stain and moisture must be cleared off of the work piece before welding.

3. Operating with short arc and narrow gap when welding.
